ABOUT

Oliver Kember is an award-winning writer/ director of mixed British-Indian-Norwegian heritage. He specialises in Narrative Comedy and Commercials with a Lifestyle and Travel focus.

 

His work has screened at film festivals including Academy Award and BAFTA qualifying festivals such as London Short Film Festival, Aesthetica and Austin Film Festival.

He is an alumnus of Berlinale Talents and BFI Network x BAFTA Crew.

 

He has written and/or directed short films starring Daniel Ings (Lovesick, Sex Education), Josh O’Connor (The Crown, The Durrells), Tom Burke (The Musketeers, Mank) and Ryan Turner (Harry Potter)

 

Oliver started in film as a camera trainee, working on British feature films such as The Boat That Rocked, Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, Johnny English Reborn and St. Trinians 2.

 

His short film, Puzzled, was selected by the BFI National Archive for preservation.

 

Oliver has directed commercial work internationally for clients including EERolo, Bose, Pronamel, Efes, TUI, IbisComeon Casino, Net-a-Porter, Sotheby’s and Guinness.

He has worked for production companies that include Grey, Hogarth, Outsider, Protein, Rewind, Chrome Productions, Hearst, BBC, MyAccomplice, Mason-Williams, Elbow Productions, Somersault Productions, Gravity, ITN Productions and Born Social.
